1. Bị động với những động từ có 2 tân ngữ

Một số đông từ được theo sau nó bởi hai tân ngữ như: give (đưa), lend (cho mượn), send (gửi), show (chỉ), buy (mua), make (làm), get (cho), … thì ta sẽ có 2 câu bị động.

Ví dụ: I gave him> an apple> (O). (Tôi đã cho anh ấy một quả táo.)

• An apple was given to him. (Một quả táo đã được trao cho anh ta.)

• He was given an apple by me. (Anh ta đã được tôi trao cho một quả táo)

2. Thể bị động của các động từ tường thuật

Các động từ tường thuật gồm: assume, believe, claim, consider, expect, feel, find, know, report, say, …

– S: chủ ngữ; S’: Chủ ngữ bị động

– O: Tân ngữ; O’: Tân ngữ bị động

Câu chủ động Câu bị động Ví dụ S + V + THAT + S’ + V’ + … Cách 1: S + BE + V3/-ed + to V’ People say that he is very rich → He is said to be very rich. Cách 2: It + be + V3/-ed + THAT + S’ + V’ People say that he is very rich → It’s said that he is very rich.

3. Câu chủ động là câu nhờ vả

Câu chủ động Câu bị động Ví dụ

… have someone + V (bare) something

…have something + V3/-ed (+ by someone)

Thomas has his son buy a cup of coffee.

→ Thomas has a cup of coffee boughtt by his son.

(Thomas nhờ con trai mua 1 cốc cà phê)

…make someone + V (bare) something

… (something) + be made + to V + (by someone)

Suzy makes the hairdresser cut her hair.

→ Her hair is made to cut by the hairdresser.

(Suzy nhờ thờ làm tóc chỉnh lại mái tóc)

… get + someone + to V + something

… get + something + V3/-ed + (by someone)

Shally gets her husband to clean the kitchen for her.

→ Shally gets the kitchen cleaned by her husband.

(Shally nhờ chồng dọn giúp nhà bếp)

4. Bị động với các động từ chỉ quan điểm, ý kiến

Một số động từ chỉ quan điểm ý kiến thông dụng là: think/ say/ suppose/ believe/ consider/ report… (nghĩ rằng/ nói rằng/ cho rằng/ tin rằng/ xem xét rằng/ thông báo rằng….)

Ví dụ:

People think he stole his mother’s money. (Mọi người nghĩ anh ta lấy cắp tiền của mẹ anh ta.)

• It is thought that he stole his mother’s money.

• He is thought to have stolen his mother’s money.

5. Câu chủ động là câu mệnh lệnh

1. Thể khẳng định:

Chủ động: V + O + …

Bị Động: Let O + be + V3/-ed

Ví dụ: Put your pen down → Let your pen be put down. (Bỏ cây bút xuống)

2. Thể phủ định:

Chủ động: Do not + V + O + …

Bị động: Let + O + NOT + be + V3/-ed

Ví dụ: Do not take this item.

→ Let this item not be taken. (Không lấy sản phẩm này)
